TITLE: Knowledge acquisition and structuring from materials science literature

ABSTRACT:
For efficient materials development using information science, it is important to collect and structure experimental data in past studies from scientific literature. However, it takes a great deal of time and effort to manually construct and manage a comprehensive structured database. In this talk, I will introduce a method for extracting and structuring information about material properties and processes from the text, tables, and figures of papers.
