In this future society, ubiquitious devices, along with seamless information access and processing, will play a pivotal role. Displays, sensors, and edge devices form the core of this infrastructure. Nevertheless, the artificial intelligence (AI) boom has led to an explosive rise in energy consumption thus highlighting the urgent need to reduce computing power consumption. Recently, oxide semiconductors (OS) have gained prominence as exceptional thin-film transistor (TFT) materials, due to their remarkable blend of electrical performance, transparency, low temperature deposition, and ultralow leakage current. As Society 5.0 takes shape and brings with it a surge of ubiquitous devices, these advantages help in the long-term sustainability and energy efficiency of these devices. In this presentation, I will introduce advanced device architectures that suppress the effects of OS channel defects on carrier transport, achieving reliable ultralow-power operation. Furthermore, I will demonstrate how integrating oxygen vacancy control with rare-metal-free OS materials offers a more sustainable pathway for next-generation TFT device technologies.

12月の学内共同研究促進トークは、情報機能素子科学研究室のJuan Paolo Bermundo 先生にご講演いただきました。 タイトルと概要は以下になります。 ==================== Juan Pao […]

[3

15
