Title: How to manage healthcare data – Japanese Regulations and Approach of Kyoto University Hospital

Abstract:
Among the healthcare data used for health data science, the main portion is clinical data from medical institutions.
As the clinical data contains various types of data and ultimate patients’ privacy, proper management is indispensable to keep sufficient accessibility to the data scientists without revealing the patient’s privacy.
This lecture overviews the Japanese regulations around health data management, and introduces the clinical data management of the Kyoto University Hospital.
