Title: “Gaussian processes in Natural Language Processing and Robotics”
Abstract:
Gaussian process is a stochastic process for nonlinear regression based on Bayesian estimation and kernel methods, and serves as a crucial foundation for theoretical analysis of neural networks. Gaussian process has been widely employed lately on many disciplines because it offers a flexible and versatile toolbox for time series or spatial data.
This lecture introduces Gaussian process based on a textbook by the presenter and describes our recent collaborations between robotics and natural language processing.
