Title: Information Extraction from Documents

Abstract:
Extraction of information or knowledge from documents like news articles or scientific documents is an important technology for data science, facilitating knowledge base construction or semantic oriented document search. This lecture introduces the current research topics and techniques for information extraction and natural language processing methodologies behind them. I also show some of our research results related with information extraction from scientific documents.
