Title: Synthetic Societal Data for Digital Twin and Real-Scale Social Simulations

Abstract:
In order to realize the digital twin for specific regions, we need to obtain information on residents in those regions. However, it is difficult to utilize attributes such as age, school, workplace, and income of household members in a digital twin due to privacy matters. To cope with this difficulty, we have developed the synthetic societal data (SSD) consisting of synthetic population (SP) and basic behavioral data (BBD). SP includes individual data synthesized only from publicly released statistics without using any privacy data. In this talk, we show several examples of SSD in Japan that include pandemic simulations during COVID-19 conducted by Cavinet Secretariat, Government of Japan.
