TITLE:
Data-Driven Healthcare Using Open Data
ABSTRACT:
In recent years, legislation like the Next Generation Medical Infrastructure Act has encouraged researchers to use medical data for their studies. However, ethical and legal constraints, as well as data management issues, continue to limit its use. As an alternative, open data—available to anyone—has attracted attention, with resources such as e-Stat and NDB Open Data offering potential for healthcare-related studies. Yet current open data poses challenges in interoperability and structural consistency, requiring creative methods for effective use. This presentation introduces practical approaches using open data in healthcare research.
